Flowers in the Attic

I love this story. It's a little heavy and soap opera-esque, but it's a tragically beautiful story of four siblings forced to live in their grandmother's attic. A real tear-jerker.

Since I loved the first book so much I wanted to read on. It took awhile for me to acquire all the books, the second one in particular. I really liked the whole series. The rest of the series focuses on the effects on the attic on the children. The very last book is a prequel and is the grandmother's story.

I even have some of my friends and my mother reading the books. They also really like them.

Petals on the Wind
If There be Thorns
Seeds of Yesterday
Garden of Shadows

if you have problems with reading about incest, sex, murder, rape, and vulgar language I would suggest not reading these books.. it's not terrible but it's a shock if anything.
